Want Better Videos? Start With Better Audio

Good audio can make a huge difference in the perceived quality of your video—even if you’re shooting with a phone or a basic camera.

In this video, I share a few simple ways to improve the audio in your marketing videos, including:

• Why an external microphone is worth the investment

• Why I recommend a lavalier (clip-on) microphone

• The pros and cons of wired vs. wireless microphones

• Why your recording environment matters

• How much you actually need to spend to get good results

You don’t need thousands of dollars in professional audio equipment. A relatively inexpensive microphone and a quiet place to record can dramatically improve the quality of your videos.

And remember: great production quality can help, but it can’t compensate for a weak message.
